The catalog will search for items that contain at least one of the words or phrases.
Type AND between words or phrases.
Example: sugar AND addiction
The catalog will search for items that contain both of the words or phrases.
Type NOT and then type the word or phrase to exclude.
Example: irish NOT celtic
The catalog search will be narrowed by eliminating the words or phrases from the results.
To make a single-character wildcard search, type a question mark [?].
The catalog will search for records that contain “woman” “women”
Tip: The system ignores wildcard characters placed at the beginning of search terms.
To make a truncation search, use an asterisk [*].
The catalog will search for “culture” “cultural” “culturally” etc.
Enclose grouped terms within parentheses.
Example: Shakespeare (tragedy OR sonnet)
