The librarians at Lane work to ensure our collections are robust, current, and support Lane's curriculum in both physical and online formats, including books, ebooks, streaming video, ejournals, DVDs, and more. Librarians review usage data, talk with faculty and students, and evaluate a broad range of content as part of their selection process.
Magazines and Journals
Materials Budget 2017: $152,719
The Library spends approximately half of its collection budget on books and DVDs and half on journals and magazines (in both print format and electronic format through database subscriptions). Much of the content that is purchased by librarians falls into interdisciplinary and social science topics, but deliberate choices are made within all the curricular areas of the college.
