Get Your Free Online Subscription
LCC students, faculty and staff members get free online access to The New York Times!
1) Logout of nytimes.com
Go to nytimes.com and make sure that you see a "Log In" button at the top right of the page. If you see "Account v" at the top right, click it and choose "Logout" from the side panel.
2) Click NY Times Pass to begin the signup process.
You may be asked to login with your L number and password if you are off-campus and not already logged in.
3) Click "Create Account"
4) Login using your LCC email or using the Google/Facebook/Apple options.

Re-activate Your Account or View Your Expiration Date
After 365 days you will need to re-activate your NYTimes.com account. You can also find out when your account will expire using this procedure.
Here's how:
- Go to NY Times Pass
Off campus users will be prompted for your L number and MyLane password. - Click "Log in here" (do not use "Create Account" button).
- Log in using Google, Facebook or by filling out the "Email Address" form.
Note: If you are using the "Email Address" form, your password is the same one that you created for your NY Times account 360 days ago. Use the "Forgot your password?" link to reset your password. If all else fails, feel free to create a new account. - Once you re-activate your account, you have free access to NYTimes.com for another 365 days.
Already have an online subscription?
Call NYTimes Customer Care at 1 (800) 698-4637 and tell them to cancel your personal subscription. You will need your email address and account number. Wait a few days, and return to this page to use the NY Times Academic Pass to create your new account.
