LCC Library appreciates donations of current, relevant resources to our collection from the community. However, donations of materials are not accepted without prior arrangement with the Library Director or liaison librarians, as many donations do not meet the selection criteria of our Collection Development Policy. Any accepted donation (including books, journals, free subscriptions, or any other material) will become the property of the College and will be incorporated into the Library collection, or be subject to disposal. The Library may determine to withdraw, recycle, or reject any portion of a donation according to collection development needs as determined by the subject liaison librarian.
Donations for tax purposes must be made through the LCC Foundation and the donor is responsible for determining the value. All letters of acknowledgment for donations shall be made by the LCC Foundation.
